From Herald Times Reporters (https://www.htrnews.com/story/news/2019/02/21/manitowoc-county-historical-society-launches-online-photo-collection-features-green-bay-packers/2937517002/)

Manitowoc County Historical Society has launched the museum's first online digital photo collection. The online collection opened with more than 3,000 images from the society’s archives.

The society said in a press release that the initiative was supported by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The museum worked with a UW-Milwaukee MLIS student to bring an extensive collection of film negatives from Manitowoc photographer Daryl Cornick to be the first online collection available through the museum.

Cornick had a variety of interests and the subjects of these photographs range from nautical photos to pictures of the Green Bay Packers from the 1950s and 1960s.

The collection consists of 3,038 film negatives that have been digitized by the Historical Society’s volunteer archives staff.

In addition to the Cornick Collection, the museum also adds more images to the online archives each week. The Manitowoc County Historical Society collects and preserves thousands of artifacts, documents and images to help share Manitowoc County’s stories and help people connect to the community and its history.

The vast majority of the collection is not yet online, but through this portal visitors can access many of the most significant, exciting and popular materials in the museum's collection. Visitors can search by keyword or browse the collection items featured through the online site.

The online collection can be found on the Manitowoc County Historical Society's website at https://manitowoc.pastperfectonline.com/. The online collection is made possible by contributions to the Historical Society's Collection Preservation Fund.

Manitowoc County Historical Society is a museum of living history. The 60-acre interpretive museum at 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc features a Welcome Center with local history exhibits and research services and the outdoor Pinecrest Historical Village — a collection of more than 25 historic buildings with period furnishings from Manitowoc County's early settlers.
