Board of Directors News
Meet ARCS New Board Member Samantha Hunt-Duran, Owner & Founder, Mountain Museum Management LLC
Aurora, Colorado, United States of America

  1. What is your favorite movie centered in a museum?
    Woman in Gold (yay, repatriation!)
  2. What was the “ah ha!” moment that made you want to work in this field?
Being on a tour at the Denver Art Museum when conservation work was pointed out to us. I had no idea there was a whole life that museum collections lived "below the galleries" and from then on had the urge to be behind-the-scenes of these institutions.
  3. What is your favorite/least favorite airport?
Favorite - Denver International Airport (secret portals, misunderstood murals & Blucifer, oh my!)
Least Favorite - Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
  4. Who would you commission to create your portrait?
    Jordan Casteel
  5. Fun fact about you?
I am a classically trained violinist
  6. Mac or PC?
    Mac!

Fall Internships Announcement

ARCS is committed to advocating for paid internships in an industry that remains inaccessible to many. Once again for Fall 2024, ARCS will be offering a $1,000 stipend plus an annual membership to applicants pursuing internships in registration and/or collections management. Candidates are asked to submit their application materials by September 22, 2024 and awardees will be notified by early October 2024. Applicants should already have been accepted into an unpaid internship program and will be asked to submit a letter of support from their internship supervisor with their application materials. Applicants in internships with a limited stipend can also apply, but those in unpaid internship programs will be prioritized.
